Holidays and getting back on track

Hello friends!

I have been on a staycation this week - no where to go but holidays to use. So I enjoyed spending time at home with my Dexter cat, working out, and focusing on eating better. I've become a slave to sugar and chocolate again. My fit group started a 12 weeks no junk challenge to support 2 of our ladies that are in competition mode. I wasn't going to join it at first but there is a consequence if you do have a treat: 10 dive bombers. I have joined this challenge and was happy that I hadn't had any chocolate today until about half an  hour ago (5:00PM). That's pretty good considering how much I had yesterday haha. And the only reason I had chocolate was because I was creating a protein bar recipe and there was chocolate left on the spatula :)

For those of you that follow my facebook page, I posted a picture of the definition that I'm getting on my stomach and that was huge motivation for me to get my act together. I don't want to have another summer where I'm self conscious of my gut so I'm getting ON IT! It is almost April people!

I had also mentioned that I would do a post of what I ate through out the day so here are some pictures:

Last week one day I had President's Choice Blue Menu whole grain pancakes for breakfast, topped with PC Blue Menu twice the fruit jam.

Between breakfast and snack I got stomach grumbling hungry so I munched a few Triscuit Thins.

For my morning snack I had a PC Blue Menu yogurt cup (I have since switched to just President's Choice yogurt since this stuff has artificial sweetners, I'd rather just have the real thing), and a small banana.

Lunch was a big salad with romaine leaves, grape tomatoes, mushrooms, bell peppers, hemp hearts, and chicken breast. Some sort of dressing, can't remember right now, I'm sorry :) Also had half my orange with lunch. Then had the rest of it for afternoon break.

I was out grocery shopping the other day and found a box of these produce savers. I have one for my lettuce but have wanted more for a while. They work great! I had my strawberries in there and just filled one up with celery today. Didn't work so well with mushrooms lol.

While being on holidays, my meals have been pretty clean. My salads are normally the same because I like them so much. I just switch up the dressings. Paired with a Garden burger from Costco.

I made Holy Yum Chicken the other night too. It was good but I don't know if I did something wrong because I can't decide if I like it or not lol.

Today's lunch: another yummy salad, one whole egg and 1/4 cup of egg whites because I ran out of eggs :( That's a sad day for me, I love eggs if you can't tell lol. And I had one slice of Dempster's whole grain 12 grain bread.

I am currently waiting for my protein bars to freeze so I will post when I have tested them :)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!
