New 'treats'


My mom needed groceries today so I tagged along and I ended up buying a couple things even though I didn't really need anything. Cereal was on sale so I grabbed Quaker corn squares and the maple brown sugar bran squares, and a box of Special K Protein.

While my mom was looking for marshmallows I remembered that I wanted to pick up some raisins so I can snack on those if I was craving something sweet. On the same shelf I noticed this mixed fruit and I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is NO ADDED SUGAR.

If you check the label on most dried fruits you'll notice that there is almost always added sugar and that's frustrating when you're trying to eat less sugar.


14g of sugar?! That's it?! Can you tell how excited I am about this discovery?! =D


I did buy the raisins too and guuhhhh they're so fresh <3 I store these mixes in jars and keep them in the fridge. I hadn't noticed until last year that it actually says to refrigerate after opening on the bag. I also store nuts the same way and they keep fresh for a long time.
