My macros and training

I've been trying really hard to stay within my macros to get more definition on my stomach. I know I've said that I've come to terms with the fact that I'm not willing to give up some things to reach this goal but every once in a while I do still wish I could have more defined abs.

Most days I aim for 40% carbs, 25% fat, and $35 % protein. Every other day I'll have a high carb day and have 50% carbs. I'm going to start incorporating low carb days as well since I've heard carb cycling works well for a lot of people. I'll start keeping track of info and post about it in a few weeks.

I know I've posted about my Polar heart rate monitor already but it's nice seeing the feedback from a workout session. It definitely makes me push harder seeing my heart rate real time and then there is this sense of satisfaction when it says "What a session!" because I know I worked my ass off. The above session was Insanity plyometric cardio circuit and the one below was Insanity power and resistance.

I also like seeing the weekly total of calories burned because I can compare it with my weekly totals in Myfitnesspal and see what my weekly calorie deficit is and keep on track with those numbers.

It was also neat to see how many more calories I burn walking to work than the days I drive so I might need to incorporate more cardio during the winter months lol.
