I've been sniffly for the past week but it hit me really bad on Friday night. I came home from work early yesterday and took an extra day to make sure I'm good enough to go back to work. I have a job where if you're not feeling good it just doesn't work. So I spent the last two days relaxing on the couch with my boys and watching Netflix.
I watched Let's Be Cops, Chris D'Elia's stand up special: Incorrigible, The Longest Yard, and The Fault In Our Stars yesterday and then started on 3rd Rock From The Sun last night. And today I watched the whole first season of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and some more 3rd Rock From The Sun. 3rd Rock is so silly and reminds me of my childhood. I remember watching that show with my family and us all laughing. When I was young I got my family to watch quite a few funny shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway? and That 70's Show.
I was going a bit stir crazy and I was out of bananas so I did a quick trip to Costco and hung out with my mama for a bit. I don't know why but I was craving veggies so I loaded up on them :)
I bought carrots, celery, cucumbers, spinach, bananas, egg whites, and a rotisserie chicken (not pictured). I'll likely need to go back on the weekend for cottage cheese and possibly apples but I've been trying not to buy something until I'm out or very nearly out. I noticed today that I have too many avocados so I must not have realized that I still had some when I bought more. Oh well! Guess I'll add some to my salads and have a few higher fat days. No harm done!
I did start Insanity last week but it's now been on pause for the last two days. I'm going to skip the scheduled workout tomorrow as well because I don't want to go too intense but I will do a weight training circuit and keep it at a lower intensity. I was considering not working altogether but I feel like I should do something. I guess we'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow morning though.
I didn't workout today but I did do a little ab work: 20x leg out crunches, 20x toe taps, and 20x bicycle crunches, and did this twice through. It wasn't anything strenuous but it made my core feel tight and made me feel less lazy haha.
(leg out crunches: raise your legs off the ground, hold them at an angle that is challenging for you, and do crunches while holding your legs up; toe taps: with your hands behind your head crunch up to lift your shoulder blades off the floor while using your lower abs to lower and lift your bent legs to tap your toes on the floor. You will hold the upper crunch for the duration of the 20 toe taps.)
