Hair styling products

Alright, onto my second non-fitness related post - as promised this post includes the sprays I use when blow drying and styling my hair with hot tools, as well as other products I use in my ever confusing hair.

Now, I say confusing hair because it really is: it's greasy on the roots, dry on the ends, frizzy, and thin but thick (thin strands but a lot of them.)

I've thought about starting to post other things I'd like to write about that aren't health or fitness related but was hesitant. Since I'm not posting much of anything else I decided to start posting the things I use in my daily life for makeup, hair products and tools, etc.

Tofu Scramble

This was my breakfast this morning and it was quite delightful - I will be having this again tomorrow morning. I was inspired by this recipe and did my own twist. I didn't take pictures because I made this before work this morning and didn't really have time since I was getting ready between the steps.

Rajma Masala (Indian style kidney beans)

Alright, I am finally posting an Indian recipe. This is one of two recipes that I use often. I love kidney beans and they're high in protein. This recipe is delicious and full of flavor (what Indian dish isn't full of flavor?)

Spaghetti and veg-balls

This was my lunch twice this week. I had this spaghetti in my cupboard for an amount of time I won't disclose (but it was still sealed) and I bought the veggie balls from Ikea a few months ago and haven't made anything to put them in so when I was running low on food I threw this together.

Catching up - my summer and beginning of fall

Alright, I know it's been a few months since my last post. I had an awesome and busy summer making new memories with family and friends. I played softball again this year with my mom, boyfriend, and a few of the people from last year's team. A few of us also joined the fall league but the last two games have been cancelled. The last games of the season are this weekend, which is sad but it's definitely too cold for out door sports.

My winter vacation (posting very late!)

Alright, how is everyone doing? It's been a while since I've posted again and for that I am sorry (if anyone even reads my blog...) At the end of January I went to Maui for my hot vacation this year! I went with my dad, aunts, uncles, and cousin.

Getting on that meal prep

Like I said in my previous post I've been focusing on eating more vegetables and now I'm focusing on eating enough non meat protein. I eat eggs, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, beans and rice, quinoa, and tofu as my main sources of protein. I was slacking a bit in the meal prepping department so I've been making sure to do that at least twice a week so I have healthy, nutritious food ready when I'm hungry.

I've been sick for over a week... I missed four days of work last week and I'm left with a dry cough and some of that awesome phlegm that I cough up in the morning. I peeled myself off of the couch on Friday to get some groceries and much needed produce.
